LATEST RELEASE
"MADHOUSE"
RELEASED SEPTEMBER 14, 2024
Now available on all streaming platforms
“Madhouse” is Wildcard’s latest single: an energetic anthem that blends elements of indie pop, rock, and punk distinguished by a rapid tempo and an infectious chorus. This track has already garnered significant acclaim during Wildcard’s bold live premiere performances and is poised to become a hallmark of her musical legacy.
The track features driving staccato drum patterns evocative of White Stripes, descending guitar and bass riffs reminiscent of the 90s Seattle grunge era, alongside soaring, raw, and intense vocals that convey a gritty edge to the entire piece.
“Madhouse” is a composition that explores the tendency of society to categorize individuals as ‘mad’ simply due to their choice to lead unconventional and audacious lives, and their propensity to watch and judge those who take such risks by making them feel as though they are in error. It encourages listeners to reflect on the true nature of happiness, implying that those who pass judgement harbor a hidden wish to be as unashamedly unconventional as those they condemn. This encourages a journey towards embracing freedom and genuine self-expression by crossing over to the so-called “mad” side.

"FALLEN FROM MY TREE"
RELEASED JULY 19, 2024
Now available on all streaming platforms
The multiple award-nominated and internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter has gained recognition for her exceptional talents in songwriting and her remarkable music versatility, earning her praise from audiences around the globe. Her unique ability to craft compelling lyrics and her diverse musical range have established her as a true standout in the music industry.
Her latest single, “Fallen from the tree”, delves into the experience of descending from ‘la crème de la crème’ of society, only to discover a more exciting and fulfilling life. It will resonate with anyone who has faced a downfall and endured the harsh judgment of others, serving as a rebellious anthem for those who refuse to be victimized or yield. Instead, it conveys a powerful message about the act of falling and then mustering the strength to rise again and start afresh. It also emphasizes the conscious choice to abandon a comfortable and idle existence in favour of a more dynamic and rewarding one, despite the challenges and uncertainties it may bring.
“I’m not dead, don’t waste your prayers on me (…). I’ve fallen from my tree too far. (…) I had my good time with all you fine people. I kissed and danced and drunk with plenty of friends. But the dreams I had got tucked away. That’s how a good life turns you lazy inside. (…) My dear tree home there’s more out there, I tasted the new life now it’s my turn.(…) You’re up there, I’m down here (…) Don’t waste your tears on me, it’s gonna get louder in here, now I’m awake, sparks in my eyes, so free right under the stars, freedom at last (…)”
With strong drum beats and striking guitar riffs, this composition is a truly captivating and mesmerizing fusion of rock and blues pulsating within and compelling you to tap along with its irresistible rhythm. The strong bass lines paired with raw, gritty, confident and powerful vocals elevate this exceptional piece to a whole new level.

About
Lorenza Wildcard discovered her talent during lockdown. Following the sudden and intense rupture of her relationship, she decided to put her feelings on paper as a way to process her emotional turmoil. Just 24 hours after writing her first song, recording her vocals accompanied by guitar on her mobile phone and sharing it with just four friends. She was approached by music producer Ettore della Campa and weeks later flown to a recording studio where her debut single “You & I” was produced.
Following the unexpected international success of her debut single, Wildcard decided to fully embrace her singing-songwriting career. Despite lacking any formal musical education, her remarkable intuition and natural talent for crafting infectious melodies led her to assemble a backing band and embark on a series of live performances.
In 2023, Wildcard took residency at Headline Music Studios (UK), and started working with producer Piers Mortimer, who has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including established legends like Deep Purple and the Jamiroquai band as well as emerging unsigned artists, and with whom she felt she had the right professional chemistry.
Lorenza Wildcard is a strong and prolific artist who again and again delivers great music in a way that is disarmingly honest and sincere as well as unapologetic. Outspoken about her own life’s struggles and passions, and armed with courage, Wildcard has found an outlet for her vulnerability thru her intimate song-writing. While promoting empowering messages wrapped in catchy melodies, Wildcard is fast acquiring a devoted fan base called “Wildcards” and becoming an advocate for standing up for yourself, taking back control of life and a voice for changing cultural views over narratives that have been overlooked or misunderstood.
musical style
Her musical style has been compared to Blondie, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Runaway, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani, The White Stripes, The Record Company, The Bones of J.R. Jones, and The Rolling Stones.
With multi genre single releases through 2023, Wildcard is proving to be not just talented but also a hard-working artist who is fearless, keen and capable of regenerating, evolving and venturing into various music genres.
Uninterested in genre labelling, conforming or complying, and keen to let her artistry lead the way, her music encompasses everything from pop, dance, americana, rock with blues influences and alternative rock with a rock reminiscent, while maintaining her distinctive voice and her unique vocal style.
With a gritty but versatile timbre her signature vocals play with expressive cadences prioritising the deliverance of a message by using passionate and heartfelt climaxes over showcasing power, nuance or vocal embellishments.
Wildcard’s music draws largely from determination, honesty and authenticity to propel her musical direction and signature sound. From pop ballads that touch the soul with strong emotional undertones and deep introspective lyrics delivered with soft soothing vocals, to fast paced, energetic infectious melodies married with witty lines and a sultry gritty voice oozing with seductiveness that ripples with playfulness and confidence.
Lorenza Wildcard is set to release more singles in 2024 whilst continuing to do live shows with her support band, delivering catchy melodies with outstanding and memorable performances.
With a confident mindset and rebellious attitude, in a relatively short span of time, Lorenza Wildcard has become one of most exciting voices on the music market and in the last year we have seen a whole new side of her.
This is an exciting and promising artist to keep an eye on!
